This 10-hour individualized course guides educators in developing and integrating mindfulness techniques for their personal well-being and professional practice.

Participants will explore the theoretical underpinnings of mindfulness and its benefits for mental, emotional, and physical health. They will engage in a variety of personal mindfulness exercises and learn practical strategies for teaching these skills to students to foster a calmer, more focused classroom environment.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Define mindfulness and explain its benefits for educators and students.

  • Develop and maintain a personal mindfulness practice.

  • Apply mindful listening, walking, and breathing techniques in their daily lives and with students.

  • Integrate mindfulness into classroom routines and lesson plans to support social-emotional learning.

  • Utilize mindfulness as a tool for stress reduction and emotional regulation.

  • Design and implement a short mindfulness program for their students.

Hours Completed:

Ten 1-1 hours with Meg online for one hour a week, for ten weeks.
